Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Roman Catholic men’s organization and has councils in over ten countries throughout the world. Founded in the United States in 1881 by Father Michael J. McGivney as a resource for needy Catholic immigrants, it is named in honor of Christopher Columbus and dedicated to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.
