Catholic Youth Organization

CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) is an organization intended to provide our parish youth with a positive experience of sportsmanship, teamwork and self-discipline in a Catholic environment. Hundreds of children, from Grade 4 through High School, are involved in our basketball, and volleyball programs and there are many opportunities for interested adults to become involved.

St. Christopher’s parish hosts CYO Basketball and Volleyball programs. Our mission is to prepare our players both physically and mentally, while fostering respect for one another, our community, and our faith. Through teamwork, stewardship, fellowship, and faith formation, we strive to develop not only strong athletes, but also compassionate and responsible young men and women.

 

Other sports offered by the main CYO organization that can be joined independently:

Co-ed Flag Football, Bowling, Golf Lessons, E-Game Tournaments, Chess Tournaments, Wrestling, Swimming, Track, Field Hockey, and Pickleball.

CYO Registration:

Volleyball: 

  • Girls’ 5th Grade through High School
  • Practices start in January
  • 10 Game schedule from February 22, 2025 to May 3, 2025 (Closed for Easter)
  • Registration Fee = $225.00
  • Uniform Fee = $20.00

High School Basketball: 

  • Boys’ 9th – 12th Grade
  • 8 Game schedule from January 2, 2025 to February 15, 2025
  • Registration Fee = $200.00
  • Uniform Fee = $20.00

God, Let me play well but fairly,
Help me to learn something that matters once the game is over.
Let competition make me strong but never hostile.
Always let me help my opponent up.
Never catch me rejoicing in the adversity of others.
If I know victory, allow me to be happy; if I am denied, keep me from envy.
Remind me that sports are just games.
If through athletics I set an example, let it be a good one.

St. Tarcisius

Patron Saint of Altar Servers

O God, You have graciously called me to serve You upon Your altar. Grant me the graces that I need to serve You faithfully and wholeheartedly. Grant too, that while serving You. may I follow the example of St. Tarcisius, who died protecting the Eucharist, and walk the same path that led him to Heaven.

St. Tarcisius, pray for me and for all servers.
